This video seems a bit of alright. it still left me thinking of an old food question though that applies I think to most food, no matter if thinking about meat, and that ties into innovation, and into industry and such: ***EDIT: a lot of this writing turned toward things that are in some ways obvious. won't want to read if you don't want run-on sentences of me working through my thoughts.

Lots of foods have a lot of byproduct of industry, in forms of unregulated things that are less tangible or explicit as to how, or how severely, ingesting them can harm. I'm talking about dioxins and whatever else from chemicals and pollutants of industry. These sorts of low-key industrial variables, they are in even a fresh cut piece of meat, even without any further processing, as things that have trouble leaving the body will be in the animal's body as well.

From how I think I understand things, there are a lot of stable microscopic byproducts of industry, that make their way into the air, water, soil and food of the environment. Considering these, there is so much industry and diversity thereof, that we couldn't possibly claim to know all of these byproducts or all of their effects on our bodies and the rest of the ecosystem.

I haven't read or seen enough to have some big authority on specific measures, though I'd bet we are in a sizable hole with some harmful byproducts that we already have figured out, in situations where the byproducts are not lethal but harmful, and changing the system in which they are produced would cause crippling inefficiencies in producing the product or any substitutions, that we have come to rely on. (Like CO2, but perhaps a lot more ones than most realize, that are more diverse and less made tangible or well known)

In this context of webbed and stacked systems of production, technology, and economy, I feel we have products and ways of life that we have come to depend on more than we realize, before the science caught up with everything. I feel in some ways that can make the world seem crippling to think much about, because it feels like opening Pandora's Box. We just hope the scientists are of good intention, and reflective enough to have that good intention become good outcomes. We hope that others in other fields of innovation and production angle that way as well. There is some issue, even when we do not wonder about industry giants' morals, or how companies can manipulate and work the system if they so choose, with or without explicitly acknowledging it themselves, in ways that pay no respect to sustainability, or redistribute the world's resources and access to them in in an upward funnel of who has more money, I feel our tech, innovation, and more complex and structured ways of living are something that has and will be a constant struggle of trying to balance with the world, as to not debase or kill ourselves.

I'm not against innovation. I feel like in our current context, it tends to have byproducts and secondary and tertiary byproducts that do something that might be made metaphorically tangible when described as sort of raising the blood pressure of the people and world as a whole.

Plant-based meat is the future! They now have amazing plant-based milk, eggs, tuna, cheese and well everything else you can imagine. There really is no reason to continue supporting an archaic, destructive system of raising billions of animals to obtain these products. It's a drain on resources, drives climate change, causes chronic health problems and just plain immoral due to the suffering it causes.

hmm.... did you know that if EVERYONE stopped eating meat all the animals that was bread for food will die out, we have no use for them ?
The problem is not that we eat meat is that they bread, and kill more animals then what are needed, and we throw away so much of the animal that could have been used.
And if we could just survive on vegetation, we would need to take supplements and vitamins when we just become vegetarians/vegans.
And being a little ego, Im allergic to 90% of what vegans and vegetarians eat AND I can barley afford food as is... how THE F**k am I suppoused to afford this ?
